The scenario- The pilgrims had to build their homes with whatever was outside. Mrs. Davis helped us with our challenge. The children discovered that being a pilgrim wasn't easy! It was nice to see the children working collaboratively to solve a problem. Their design constraints were they had 15 minutes to build and they had to use bark to make their roof. Please ask them about their challenge.
We are continuing to work on teen numbers. Today, one of our small groups used a beaded number line to help them make one group of 10 and 4 more ones. That makes 14. We did several examples of making teen numbers. Please make writing, identifying, and making teen numbers part of your daily routine.
