We have the following stations open: Reading, Big Books, Writing, Working With Words, Math.
Next week Mr. Niehoff will be teaching small groups how to use the IPAD. We will learn how to take it out of the cart, the function buttons, how to put in their ear buds (if you haven't sent your child's ear buds in yet please do so), he will go over one APP. Then, he will show the children how to plug their device back into the port to charge.
During shared reading this week our focus has been the the characters, setting, and retelling events.
In math we are going to be wrapping up numeration, however these skills are going on going all year.
I am currently assessing the children on the skills that we sent home to you at the beginning of the school year.
We will be moving into geometry shortly.
Please make sure that you are counting with your child both forward and backward often.
Show your child a number 0-10 and ask them to make a set with that many.
Please move to 11-20 if they are ready.
HOMEWORK- Today you received your child's homework calendar.
Please visit ABCYA.COM to complete the homework assignments.
You also received a new October reading log.
