Fall Fun Day

Wow! Today was a fabulous day in kindergarten.  I returned from maternity leave an came back to two wonderful groups of students! 
The children learned about many math, science, and language arts concepts during Fall Fun Centers.

In the News!

Here is what is happening in Rainbow Valley!


We have been so busy each and everyday!  We have been writing in our journals, making meaning with stories that are being read to us and learning all about our "Five Senses".  Today we discussed "What is a Scientist?"  Some of the answers were awesome!  We also started on our sense of "sight" today.  Please ask your child about his/her day, we ask the students to share their day with you!

Reminder:
If you have not sent in ear buds or ear phones for your student, please do so before this Thursday, the 6th of October.  We will be using iPads in our classroom!  So much fun!!!

iPADS

Headphones Needed: 

Next week we will have the amazing opportunity to work with iPads! We will be using iPads often throughout the school year.

 Please send your child to school with a set of headphones in a Ziploc baggie with their name on it by next Thursday.  These headphones will be kept at school for the year and then sent home. Headphones from the dollar store would be perfect for school.  If you are able to donate an extra set or two it would be greatly appreciated.

Rainbow Valley Happenings!

Monday, September 26th - Math Homelink Packet was sent home.  Please follow the instructions that are attached to the math book.


Monday, October 3rd - Word Study Homework begins @ home.

Pastries for Parents:  Thursday, October 13th in the Cafe at 7:00 am.

Fabulous Friday

Another great week has flown on by in Rainbow Valley!  I hope your child will share with you all that we have been learning in class. 


Today we went back to the library and checked out new books.  If your child did not return his/her book then they were not able to get a new one.  Please enjoy these books at home, once you've read them, fill out the reading log!!!  Many students are working on Reading Log number two!  Way to go!


If you have not returned your Mystery Reader form, please do so next week.
