Techo-Savy Parents Rule!

Are you overwhelmed by technology and all a “twitter” over social media? If so, the Parent Connection Technology Academy is for you! This ten-month series of evening classes is designed to provide parents with the tools and resources needed to assist children with their technology needs.

All sessions will be taught by Virginia Beach School’s Technology Experts – the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) students from the Advanced Technology Center. Each class will offer hands-on sessions, an informational booklet and student teachers assisting participants. Sessions will be held at the Advanced Technology Center Theater located at 1800 College Crescent, in Virginia Beach, from 7:00-9:00 p.m. and pre-registration is required. To register, contact the Office of Community Relations at 757.263.1936.

OPEN HOUSE/MEET AND GREET


Open House and Meet And Greet Information

Open House for Mrs. Chiaverotti's class (Room 11) and Mrs. Roses' classes will be held on Thursday, September 1st from 11  THERE IS NOT AN AM AND PM SESSION!  There is one session for our classes.  

While I am out enjoying my new boy baby I will be back to meet all of you on September 1st.  Mrs. Stinard will be taking over for me from the first day of school until October 31st.  
I am really excited to meet you! 
Parents, we will be hosting our parent information time in the library.  Yes! That's right! Come to the classroom first, the students will stay in our rooms for some fun activities with the other kindergarten teachers as we enjoy sharing with you some important information in the library.  :)
Please note, if you can not make our Open House not to worry! During the next few weeks our entire presentation will be posted on our school's website for you to view.

Baby,baby, and more baby!

Hi! Rainbow Valley Families and Blog Followers,
I hope everyone is enjoying the summer. Thank you for all the birthday E-mails. They made me smile! :)
I hope everyone is remembering to read!  I have been reading so much to Gus.  He loves to listen to many of the stories that we read in Rainbow Valley and for those of you who are going to be joining our Rainbow Valley Family books that you will enjoy reading. :)

This week @ Target they have Sterilite plastic pencil boxes on sale for 50cents!!!!!  These are the exact boxes we are requesting for each student in Rainbow Valley. Wal-Greens has composition books for 99cents.  Every Rainbow Valley student needs 4.  :)  Stock up now and save! :)

He is finally here!

Rainbow Valley Friends,
I know that you all have been waiting for my baby to arrive.  Well he did! 
On 7-14-11 August Robert Chiaverotti II was born. He weighed 7lbs. 6oz. 21inches long.  We are going to call him Gus. He is named after his great grandfather.  I hope you enjoy the pictures of him.  I will post more this summer. :)
