Our week so far...

Thank you to all of my kindergarten friends who came to the talent show last night!
Thank you for cheering me on!

Today we read The Odd Egg.  We worked on retelling the story. When you are reading at home, please ask your child to retell what they have read. They can also draw while you are reading.  Stop and say, draw what I read.  Then read a bit more and stop and draw.

Each day we are practicing Habit 5 and Habit 6.
Please practice these at home.  Before and after breaks rules seem to be forgotten.
Let's be proactive and keep appropriate behavior at school and at home part of daily routines.

In writing we are encouraging the children to independently add details to their sentences.
Today, they wrote about an egg that they found.  Inside the egg they could have whatever they wanted to have.  They wrote describing words to describe their "critter."
I heard some amazing words.
These will be on display outside of our classroom beginning tomorrow for all to see! If you are in the building please check them out!

Sharing our writing is key to making our writing AWESOME!

In math, we reviewed counting on and telling time!  Check out our telling time song!
