Reading, Retelling, Counting

Today we read AMAZING GRACE.

In class we continued to make text to self connections to the story and discussed how those connections help us to remember what we read.
Following the story and our discussions the children had to draw and label the characters and the settings of the story.

When you are reading with your child at night ask them to share their meaningful connections, the characters, and the setting.  This is a great way to check in on their reading comprehension skills.

During our math time we worked on counting by 5s using our SPLAT game! We use this for many of our math skills.   Please check out SPLAT if your child needs reinforcement at home.
