Terrfic Tuesday!

Today was our first visit from our Junior Achievement friend,Mrs. Deabler.
She will be working with the children for 6 lessons.  She will be sharing information about money. Saving it, spending it, being wise with it!
Today they came home with a retelling page and a magnet!

In math today we reviewed number identification.  Some of us have slipped and are confusing teens and higher numbers. 12 for 20.  16 for 60.  39 for 83. We reviewed bossy 1. Numbers in the teens they start with a one!
Please ask your child to identify their numbers and to write them the SCHOOL WAY! :)

In math they played an addition and subtraction number line game.  I am continuing to encourage counting aloud.  Some of my friends love to do the math in their heads. This is great if they can show their work.

In small group the children reviewed writing their letters the school way and subtraction with Mrs. Widman while I did some end of the year assessments.

We read and retold The Very Hungry Caterpillar.  Tomorrow the children will write about a caterpillar using detail words.

For the next two weeks will will be working on asking questions before, during, and after reading. Today we started reading The Stranger.  WOW! Were the questions flowing.
When your child is reading encourage asking question.
